7 Weeks Organic Zouk-flow head movements

Service Description

7x Week: modern zouk head movement flow (Neo-Zouk) for all levels and styles of partner dance. This course explores Neo-zouk head movements not as tricks and patterns, but as the organic expressions of flow, spiral, and orientation in space. The course moves from clarity and safety, to creativity and fluidity. At the end of the six weeks you will have an entirely new repertoire of partner dance concepts. Suitable for all dance styles. Week 1 – Linear head movements + foundation technique • Build a safe foundation with posture, axis, and spinal elongation. Week 2 – Contra-directional flow • Learn the mechanics of circular and contra-directional flow. Week 3 – Co-directional flow • Learn the mechanics of circular and co-directional flow. Week 4 – Tilted Turns • Discover tilted turns that bring dimension and elegance. Week 5 – Combinations of Contra + Co-direction flow • Play with the individual building blocks of Neo-zouk to create your own fluid sequences. Week 6 – Variations of the organic expressions of flow • Changes in the dynamics, orientation or position create entirely new visual and somatic experiences. Week 7 – Practica + Questions • Fun routines, questions, and guided practice time to refine and deepen underdtanding and technique.
